Maaveerar Day attacks on Jaffna University students and NESOHR re-launch
The North East Secretariat for Human Rights (NESOHR) was born in the northern part of the island of Sri Lanka in July 2004 during an internationally sanctioned ceasefire and it was destroyed in January 2009 in the genocidal war. Some of NESOHR founding members, who have escaped the island, together with some younger generation members of the Diaspora are re-launching this body under the name NESOHR(Intl.). NESOHR aims to issue regular reports from ground on how the Sri Lankan military is employed to destroy the democratic life of the Tamil people, thus continuing the decades’ long genocide of Tamils.

யாழ் பல்கலைக்கழக மாணவர்கள் மீதான மாவீரர் நாள் தாக்குதல்களும் நிசோர் மீளரம்பமும்
நிசோர் என்று பொதுவாக அழைக்கப்படும் வடகிழக்கு மனித உரிமைச் செயலகம் சூலாய் 2004இல் சர்வதேச ஆதரவுடன் இயங்கி வந்த போர்;நிறுத்த ஒப்பந்த காலத்தில் வன்னியில் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டது. 2009ம் ஆண்டின் இறுதிப்போரில் நிசோரும் அழிக்கப்பட்டது. இலங்கைத்தீவிலிருந்து தப்பி வெளியேறிய நிசோரின் ஆரம்பகால உறுப்பினர்கள் சிலரும் புலம் பெயர் ஈழத்தமிழர் சமூகத்தின் இளையோர் சிலரும் இணைந்து நிசோரை Nநுளுழுர்சு (ஐவெட) என்ற பெயரில் மீளாரம்பம் செய்கிறார்கள். சிறிலங்கா அரசு தன் இராணுவத்தைக் கொண்டு தழிழீழத்தின் சனநாயக வாழ்கையை சிதைத்து பல தசாப்தங்களாக தொடர்ந்த இனஅழிப்பை எவ்வாறு இன்றும் தொடர்கிறது என்பது பற்றி ஆய்வுகள் மூலம் பெறப்பட்ட தரவுகளைக் கொண்டு அறிக்கைகள் வெளியிடுவதே நிசோரின் தற்போதைய நோக்கம் ஆகும்.
நிசோர் மீளாரம்பத்தின் பின்னர் நாம் வெளியிடும் யாழ் பல்கலைக்கழக மாணவர்கள் மீதான மாவீரர்நாள் தாக்குதல் பற்றிய எமது முதல் அறிக்கையை எமது இணையத்தில் இப்போது பார்வையிடலாம். இவ்வறிக்கையையும் எமது மீளாரம்பம் பற்றிய ஊடக அறிக்கையையும் இத்துடன் இணைத்துள்ளோம்.
