Status of UNICEF database on underage recruitment by the LTTE as at 31 August

The status of the UNICEF database of under-18 persons as at 31 August 2008 is presented below. The total number of under-18 persons in this database as at end August 31 is 120.

102 of these cases were entered prior to 2008 and 18 were entered in 2008.

The Table presents these statistics for the above-mentioned two periods further separated into sub-categories for clarification.
