Sweet Revenge

by Kumaran Moorthy, June 16, 2009

I’m hurt, saddened and anguished
I know the person that induced this pain
I know the address where he lives
I’m not alone suffering this pain.

Ground slipped under, I ended up somewhere
Conditioned mind still longed for my old sphere
Visited back…two weeks was plenty
But, people of that land can’t all pack up and follow me

Injustice immense suffering real
Liberation tried, but it failed and pained
Back to the square one, may be worse
People must live there, for the world isn’t free

I like revenge, I like justice
I want that perpetrator suffer our pain
But, I am safe unlike those there
They must live there, for the world isn’t free

Sweetness of revenge sweeter than her lips
We know the address, we could tell
War-crime tribunal, many before punished--But
People must live there, for the world isn’t free

“Collective” is the con-artist’s picnic
“Individual” dies always in “collective”
Loosing an eye hurts! No thanks to “eye for an eye”
Loosing a tooth hurts! No thanks to “tooth for a tooth”

Empower the individual, she’ll survive
Provide her a hand-up, she’ll thrive
Every penny will expedite her freedom
Powerful Tamils live safely in (cinnamon) gardens

“Revolution is the opium of intellectuals”
Enough! Us trying experiment with others
Money is God in this materialistic mayhem
Provide a hand up, they will survive.

Enough with all our destructive thinking
Creation needed, for we are still draining
Loosing an eye hurts! No thanks to revenge
Music is sweeter! Hell no to revenge!!
