The madness of War.

By: Mithila Narendran.

The madness of war,
The clash of two countries,
From logic afar,
Brings chaos to lands.

Those sleepless nights,
Those restless days,
A wind so foul,
Life in a haze.

Death and destruction,
Misery and sorrow.
A rise of the sadist,
An uneasy tomorrow.

An unwanted bloodbath,
A time of frustration,
A time of anguish,
A path of destruction.

The horrid aftermath,
A hopeless today.
Sheer foolishness,
War will never pay.

The madness of war.
Destruction. Destruction.

Now I wonder why the nights are so quiet,
And the morning so still.
For, still there is chaos everywhere,
No peace of mind of goodwill.
Enclosed in sorrow and greed,
We are only bothered about our individual needs.
The seed of love decaying,
The spirit of brotherhood diminishing.

I wonder what sort of world we would see,
A stone heart without emotions and only "I" instead of "We."

A paradise this country is no more,
Burning to ashes and waiting for more.
A man of marble with a heart of stone.
Beauty is there, but life has gone
Due to the madness of war.
