First Report to Sunday Times (UK)

Marie Colvin, a US born journalist working for the UK Sunday Times, filed the above report from Thamileelam territories in Sri Lanka, which was published by the Sunday Times on 15 April 2001.

Subsequent to this report Ms. Colvin was seriously injured in a Sri Lankan army fire. She was crossing borders, during a ceasefire declared by the Sri Lankan government, when its army opened fire on Ms. Colvin.

Sri Lanka, condemned universally for its war related human rights abuses, has banned foreign journalists from reporting from the war zones.
