British Methodists Urge Action

The Richmond and Hounslow Circuit in West London, U.K, voted unanimously (0ne person chose to be neutral) for a Memorial on Post-Tsunami Sri Lanka at the Circuit meeting held on the 17th of March 2005.  This Memorial was sent to the British Methodist Conference (BMC) which is to be held in June.  The BMC includes representatives and observers from both the Nation and around the world.

A memorial is a message from a Circuit to the BMC urging the Conference to take action on an issue.  In doing so, it highlights facts in the collective memory of the Church - hence the term Memorial.
