Passing of Prof. V. Arunasalam

We regret to announce the death of Prof. V. (Willie) Arunasalam,
retired Professor from Princeton University, husband of the late Saratha,
father of Sharmila, brother of Thiagaraja (British Columbia), and
Mrs Varathan (Toronto), brother-in-law of Pathma Indradas, Kanagaratnam,
and Vijesundaram (Engineer at NJ DEP). 

Prof. Arunasalam, who had a PhD from MIT, Massachusetts, was a leading scientist at the Princeton Plasma Physics laboratory at Princeton University for over 30 years, and published more than 100 scientific papers in leading scientific journals. He was selected to be in the Marquis Who is Who in America last year. He was honored by the llankai Tamil Sangam USA for his outstanding achievement in Science in 2003, and by the Toronto Tamil Chamber of Commerce last year. 

Funeral arrangements will be announced shortly.

Sangam mourns the passing of a beloved sangam Committee member and a distinguished member of the Tamil community.
