Mainstream initiatives and programs, which may prove helpful to non-refugee families often, are not effective with refugee and asylee families. By focusing attention on the unique issues of refugee families and by then providing information and training on existing best practices and developing additional ones, we will be able to insure that more refugee and asylee families are able to access the support they need to maintain healthy,resilient families. Please join grassroots organizations, educators, social service and health care professionals, mental health professionals, refugee and asylee community leaders, students, county and state agencies, among others. Celebrate the cultural diversity of New Jersey with traditional folk artists and performers as they demonstrate their skills and display their arts.
About the Conference Convener: New Jersey Immigration Policy Network, Inc. is a broad-based statewide organization dedicated to a fair and humane immigration policy which ensures respect, dignity and justice for all newcomers to the United States and which betters the life of the community as a whole.
