Chavakachcheri gets a Free Computer Training Center as TITA and SKTATT of London once again join hands
A third joint Free Computer Training Center by TITA and SKTATT (London Sri Kanaga Thurkai Amman Temple Trust), will be opened on, Sunday, the 08th of Aug 2004, in Chavakachcheri in the Jaffna district, following their joint center at Kilner Lane, Jaffna & Vaddakachchi, Kilinochchi.
The new Chavakachcheri Free Computer Training Center is equipped with 10 new PC’s networked together. A full-time lecturer and a full-time instructor have already been appointed by TITA for this center. Like the 1st and 2nd joint center in Jaffna, here too, the SKTATT has sponsored the capital, set up and running costs of the center. TITA has undertaken to manage the center, plan courses, carry out teaching and launch IT development programs for Chavakacheri and adjacent villages, using this center as a central resource center.
The Chavakachcheri Center will be the 3rd center by SKTATT [http://tamilita.org/activities/IT_centers/Jaffna_town/index.html]. It will be the 13th center by TITA in the NorthEast and Upcountry, under its “100 Rural IT Center Project.”
TITA sincerely thanks the SKTATT for working hand-in-hand with TITA in its attempts to ensure Basic IT Education for all our youngsters, especially the youngsters in the rural areas and underprivileged youngsters in urban areas.
